| Juicy Pictures! Over the years we have got some great Juice pictures, some of the guys ask "where is that picture of? I wanted to show XXXX" so for those of you who are interested, some are humorous, some documentary presented as thumbnails on this page and linking to full size if you want detail. Please go to Juicy Pics for more. Juice How do we do it? The idea behind Juice is to do a job, as well as we can, totally caring about what we do and who we do it with. When we take something on it is always done well, without the Rock "N" Roll attitude that ruins so many events for Promoters and Public alike. At the same time the pre-requisite is to enjoy what we do, so that it does not seem like work, but more something that you want to do, and that you enjoy doing. Team Spirit is tantamount, along with sharing of information and knowledge. That's what makes us different and the envy of many of our competitors.
Juice and Charities Juice supports charities but has found that in the past this support has been abused or the status of the so called charitable event is suspect. So we no longer directly support any charitable function with discounts or freebies. Juice likes to see charity where it feels is best and is involved with the local community in which it is based and works with local schools providing work experience placements and the loan of equipment and services to these schools. Please see Local Community for more information on what we do.
Juice and our equipment Established in Daventry in 1983 (see The History) Juice has always been at the forefront of new technology and trying new and different ways of doing things. Examples of this is the touring of what was a new sound system i.e. Funktion One's "Flashlight" system on several tours, long before it was an accepted system. XTA DSP's and the Amek Recall with Showtime software were in use at Juice for a couple of years before being taken seriously by the rest of the industry. We stocked for a time the Optocore Multicore system and are always looking at market place for Digital consoles/Equipment, keeping aware of the alterations in equipment and keeping up to date with new operational parameters, as well as making sure that our staff are aware of older products and there use. Digital control systems are also under scrutiny, our XTA DP Processors are linked on most of our systems and a laptop keeps an eye on the systems at both stage and front of house. Juice was also the first company in the UK to stock and tour L-Acoustics products, something for which we are justifiably proud, recognising the product and the usefulness in its predictability in an array. Today the company is run by John Silk along with help and advice from his staff who all recognise that good quality, well looked after equipment is the basis of a successful show with friendly, efficient and proficient staff forming the other part. There is a personal involvement with all of the juice crew putting input towards improvements and equipment purchasing forming a major part of the companies policy so that we all feel involved in the way the company moves.
